5: Wild Card RAGE.
If the Canucks finish only a few points out of the playoffs, then fans will be mad, Not only are they not in a solid tank position, but they also missed the playoffs. Finishing 10th to 14th worst is the worst position to be in for a team. But at least they've improved on their previous atrocity of a season, so that's not too bad.
4: Not living up the hype
If not even 1 of the 5 things on my 5 things to look forward to list actually happens in real life, then it's simply a terrible season. Eriksson and Gudbranson have to prove they're up to the hype and the veterans have to accomplish. Meanwhile, the rookies are going to step up their game. That means Horvat needs another 40 point going on 50 campaign, Baertschi needs at least 40 as well, Virtanen needs to play rough but contribute to the team by getting at least 20 to 30 points in his sophomore year. The Danish Beast Jannik Hansen and Philip Larsen also need to accomplish and make their country proud.
3: Mediocrity everywhere.
Fans don't want to end up going back home bored and disappointed that the Canucks lost 10 nil against the Calgary Flames. They don't want to see Shinkaruk and Vey both score hat tricks in the same game. They don't want to see Ryan Miller giving up centre ice goals every game.
Canucks need to make the fans happy. A good home record is needed. As long as they have at least 20 home wins, that's fine. So long as Rogers Arena is filled nicely, then yes.
2: INJURIES.
Ouch. No one wants to see their favorite players go down. Hopefully the Canucks have less then 10 injuries on the season.
1: JIM BENNING!
Ah, Jim Benning, you make us laugh. You assembled a fine 2014-15 roster and drafted smart. Heck, we made the playoffs and did fine. But you had to go ahead and trade away not just fan favorites, but sign god damn retards and send the best players on the Canucks into free agency. Bieksa for a cheap second and a seventh? Bonino, a huge factor in the Pittsburgh Penguins run, for god damn FUCKING BRANDON SUTTER THAT PIECE OF SHIT! Then you resign him to how much god damn money?! Then he goes down with injury twice?! He's good as fucking gone if I were GM!
Case in point, hopefully someone takes Benning hostage and holds him there until the end of the season. We don't want to see him trade away anyone else.
